Recently we had an evening Dinner event at the very popular Bombay Palace, at:
286 Wimborne Road, opposite St Lukes Church, Bournemouth
Thanks to Mr Ahmed of the Bombay Palace in Winton, and to friends who supported this event, we raised £188.50 by simply enjoying an evening of good food and the company of friends and colleagues.
The event took take place on Monday 8 November 2010 and starts at 7.30 p.m.
The menu on offer included:
- Poppadom with chutneys
- Starters: choose from chicken tikka, onion bhaji or samosa (meat or vegetable)
- Mains: choose from Chicken, Lamb, Vegetable or Prawn Madras, Dansak, Korma, Balti, Massala or Bhuna
- Rice or Naan
- Coffee
Proceeds from the evening went to the Cementing Futures charity.
Cementing Futures is a charity based in Bournemouth which is managed by members of Soroptimist International. All of the funds raised for Cementing Futures are being used to provide educational facilities for underprivileged children in the slum areas of Dhaka, which is the capitol city of Bangladesh.
